Description
Afternoon thunderstorm sweeps across the northern end of the Sandia Mountains. The Sandia Casino is miniscule compared to the New Mexico's monsoon rain, typically occurring from mid-June to late September, is a dramatic shift in weather patterns where the state experiences a significant increase in rainfall, often arriving in the form of intense thunderstorms, due to a change in wind direction drawing moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and Pacific Ocean, transforming the normally arid landscape with heavy downpours and occasional flash flooding, particularly in mountainous areas and low-lying canyons
